” The Fellowship was an amazing introduction to the world of our state legislature. Making new friends from around the country was a life-changing experience. Having the opportunity to see how difficult budget decisions were made and meeting people like Greg Schmidt, who had spent decades working in the government, changed the way I understood the state.

Since the Fellowship, the friends I made that year have continued to be an important part of my life. They have helped me professionally by letting me know about jobs when I was looking and good employees when I was hiring. Personally, we’ve celebrated birthdays and new jobs together, had regular Thursday Lunches and even babysat each others kids. I love these people.

The Fellowship gave me a lot and I continue to benefit from my time in the program.”
