Student teams at the 4th Annual Constitution Quiz Bowl at Sacramento State

The 4th annual Constitution Quiz bowl was on Wednesday, September 14, 2016. The Constitution Quiz Bowl is sponsored by the Center for California Studies and the Project for Informed Electorate (PIE) and takes place during Sacramento State’s Constitution Week. Students participate as individuals or as teams and compete to answer trivia questions about the U.S. and California Constitution.  The Constitution Quiz Bowl featured a variety of special guests who poised questions to the students.  Thank you Assembly Member Autumn Burke, President Nelsen and Capital Public Radio’s own Beth Ruyak for participating.

This year three teams participating: Team William Land Park (WLP), Team Stockton and Team Sacramento. All three teams did extremely well in the competition. Team WLP came in as a one-man team, but that didn’t stop him from taking second place with 14 points. Team Sacramento followed behind by three points with a total of 11 points to clinch the third place spot. Team Stockton was ahead the entire competition and finished in first place with a total of 23 points!
